Hammock’s work honored as best of the best with major awards from two high-profile organizations.
On Nov. 12, Hammock scored in three categories of the Pearl Awards sponsored by the Custom Publishing Council. “Live SNAP ’09” took top honors with a Gold award in the Best Use of Community/Social Networking category and Silver in Best Microsite. “Live SNAP ’09” created an online space where attendees and those who couldn’t be at the Association Media & Publication Conference could follow the schedule of events along in real time. The goal was to provide a place for members, attendees, speakers and exhibitors alike to interact, participate and communicate through social media tools such as Flickr, YouTube, Twitter and blogging during the event.
Hammock’s work on the “My Business Manual” section of MyBusiness magazine, which we publish for the National Federation of Independent Business, took Silver in Best Regular Department.
Just a week earlier on Nov. 6, the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) announced that Hammock’s work for the Association Media & Publication Conference had won a Silver award in the Digital Azbee competition’s Trade Show/Conference Coverage category.
As SNAP has worked toward changing its name this summer to Association Media & Publishing, the online coverage of the annual conference also allowed us to help in their efforts to reposition and rebrand the organization to encompass all media (print, social and digital). Kudos to Summer Huggins, Megan Pacella, Megan Morris and Ben Stewart for coding, strategy, writing and design.
