There is hardly a typical, replicable day at Hammock (the variety is why we love our jobs here!), but here is a snapshot of a random Tuesday’s tasks for Hammock’s team members.

8:15 a.m. Coffee, that necessary elixir, begins brewing.
9:20 a.m. Patrick gets the ok to prep press files for American Spirit.
9:45 Lena takes a call from our Pharmaceutical Commerce contact, who wants to pass on a lead for an interview.
10 a.m. Jamie contacts freelancers about assignments for the debut issue of a new magazine.
10:15 a.m. Megan monitors and updates Hammock’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
10:30 a.m. Bill takes a call from a Marine Corps League who wants to comment on a past feature in Semper Fi magazine.
11:12 a.m. Rex updates the Rexblog and feeds for, and adds a few dozen incisive tweets to @r.
12 p.m. Barbara meets with a client to talk through Hammock’s recommendations for his organization’s content marketing strategy.
12:30 p.m. A kind volunteer takes Panera Bread orders for lunch.
1 p.m. John and Steve meet with a prospective client to talk about Hammock’s expertise in event media. They also spend a few minutes talking about their favorite baseball teams and the latest scoop on Nashville celebrities.
1:45 p.m. Kerri is on the phone with a freelancer, reviewing art direction for a client photo shoot in the morning.
2:06 p.m. Kerri spends a few minutes browsing the Web for fun new fonts.
2:45 p.m. Barbara, Megan and Lena test a client’s email campaign scheduled to go out the next day.
3 p.m. Editors meet with intern Amber to talk through the week’s to-do list.
3:15 p.m. Natalie talks to one of our magazine ad sales reps for a status on insertion orders for the next issue of Semper Fi.
3:30 p.m. Lynne researches photo options for an upcoming American Spirit feature.
3:50 p.m. Julia finalizes a contract for a new client.
4 p.m. Someone brews yet another pot of coffee.
4:35 p.m. Bill finishes up a post for Hammock’s Content That Works blog.
5:27 p.m. Rex plays with his brand-new iPad.
6:15 p.m. Jamie finishes mapping out a schematic, while John reminds all of the Fed Ex deadline.
